For the past 8 years, Scott McGaugh has played an active role in the campaign to bring the USS Midway to San Diego as a permanent museum, visitor attraction and education center.  He's researched the history of CV-41, interviewing more than 300 crewmen, from war-scarred "plankowners" who took USS Midway to sea in 1945 to the teenagers who launched F/A-18 Hornets in Desert Storm. A former newspaper publisher, for the past 17 years Scott has built successful public relations and advertising agencies in his hometown of San Diego.  Midway Magic is the first of several books planned by Scott.
